What Is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's an easy way for you to keep up with news and information that's important to you, and helps you avoid the conventional methods of browsing or searching for information on websites. Now the content you want can be delivered directly to you without cluttering your inbox with e-mail messages. This content is called a "feed."

The following Boards and Committees were created to bring community members together to help make choices that will better the Town of Many.

Our Street Department handles street repair, ditch clean out, bush hogging state right-of-ways, installing culverts, maintaining driveways in the town right-of-ways, mosquito spraying and animal control.  

The City Council typically meets every third Tuesday each month at 5:00 PM in the City Hall.

Garbage Rate
$16.09 per month and is included on your monthly water bill
 

Our Sanitation Department is responsible for the weekly pickup of residential and commercial waste.

If there is a holiday, the trash for that week will be picked up on Wednesday.  All other pickup schedules will remain the same. 

The Town of Many is accepting applications for an equipment operator for the street department.  Employee must be able to operate a trackhoe, dump truck, side-arm tractor.  CDL is required within 60 days of employment.  Applications may be obtained at City Hall from 8:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.  Please call Karla at 318-256-4015 for any questions.  Position open until filled.  The Town of Many is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Due to the spike of COVID-19 cases in Many and Sabine Parish, the City Hall lobby will be closed until further notice.  City services will continue!!!  Payments can be made at the drive-thru window by check, money order or card, or pay by phone with a card. 

The Police Dept. lobby will also be closed until further notice.  

The closing of playgrounds, ballparks and city parks includes Dixie Youth, T-ball and any other organized sports that would be played or practiced at any of these locations.

Application must be filed by 4:00 P.M. the 14th of the month for a public hearing at 5:30 P.M. on the Thursday before the regular town council meeting on the third Tuesday of the following month.

The Zoning Commission will meet and make a recommendation to the town council then the town council will vote on the recommendation at their regular monthly town council meeting.

The following days shall be considered legal holidays for employees of the Town.  If the holiday falls on a Saturday, employees will not work the preceding Friday.  If the holiday falls on a Sunday, employees will not work the following Monday.  Other holidays may be proclaimed by the mayor as the mayor feels necessary.

On these dates of closure the garbage truck will run on Wednesdays instead for these weeks.

Payments are due on the 15th of each month (or next business day if the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday). 

There will be a 10% late fee added to all unpaid bills on the 16th of the month (or next business day if the 16th falls on a weekend or holiday).

Any account that has a past due amount will be disconnected on the 25th of the month (or next business day if the 25th falls on a weekend or holiday). A $50.00 reconnect fee will be added and the total amount owing will be due before reconnection. No checks will be accepted for reconnects.  

• Monday and Thursday have the same route
• Tuesday and Friday have the same route
• No garbage pickup on Wednesdays unless there is a holiday that week then Wednesday will be the makeup day 
• No garbage pickup on holidays

• All household trash must be bagged .  Do not place loose items in the container.
• All bagged trash must be placed in a sturdy plastic or metal indestructible container with a lid that dogs, cats or any other type of animal can get into, and, that can be picked up and dumped into the truck by the crew. ***No 55 gallon drums***
• Customers shall bring their trash containers to the curb the day before pick-up or no later than 5:00 A.M. on the day of pick-up as the Sanitation crew starts their route at 5:00 A.M.

• All water customers in the Town of Many are required to pay a fee of $16.09 per month and it is included on the water bill.

The Town of Many is accepting applications for a full-time employee in the Clean-Up Department.  A valid drivers license is required and must be able to pass a drug screen and physical. Applications may be obtained at City Hall from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday at the drive-thru window or print off the application below and return it to City Hall.  The Town of Many is an equal opportunity employer. 

Most all of Cleco customers have power restored already.  

Swepco is reporting that most of their customers will be restored 9/3/20 10:00 PM.

• FEMA Mobile Unit will be in the Sabine Parish Police Jury board room all this week (Sept. 21-25) from 10-4 for registering, updating, and answering questions.

  FEMA Disaster Unit will be in the Sabine Parish Court house parking lot for a drive thru from 7-5 this week.  This is a drive-thru for individuals to bring documents to be scanned for their FEMA claim.

  If individuals are filing for only generators or chainsaws, they need to make a notation in the comment section of the application, so their application will be processed quicker.
   

The Town of Many will be picking up limbs and debris in the city limits Monday-Friday.

All efforts are being made to open Many's Sabine Parish Museum in the recently renovated Depot by April 2021.

Well the Covid Grinch has done it again. Not only has he stolen our Christmas Parade and events now the Covid Grinch has stolen the Christmas fireworks display for December 19th.

Well, the Christmas staff Janice, Sandra, Amie, Lisa and Phyllis are going to fix him!!! They are now going to move the fireworks display the Saturday night after Christmas on December 26th at 6:00 PM.

So please help us run the Covid Grinch out of town by joining us to enjoy THE BIGGEST AND BEST fireworks display ever!!!
 

We will be closed on Monday, January 18th for MLK Day.

Monday's garbage pickup will be picked up on Wednesday the 20th instead.

The schedule for the rest of the week will not be changed. 

Please remember if you have political signs they must be placed on private property and not the town’s right-of-way. If they are placed in the town’s right-of-way they will be picked up by city crew and placed behind City Hall for you to pick up.

The Town of Many provided new signs that will be going up at all of the entrances coming in and out of Many and a new sign will also be going up at Many High School celebrating yet another state championship for our Many High School Tigers.

After 36 years of progressive leadership, Mayor Ken Freeman is set to retire on June 30, 2021. When Mr. Freeman first ran in 1989 for the office of Mayor of Many, he made the following promises: To run the town as a business; to obtain as many state and federal grants as possible; to build a strong and effective police department; and to support and assist our sister communities and/or organizations in Sabine Parish.

The entire month of March 27 through April 24 is designated for the SABINE PARISH TRASH BASH.  GET OFF YOUR FANNY & CLEAN UP MANY is Saturday, April 17.

Trash bags for you and your team will be provided so you can collect litter and trash that lands in the ditches and along the roads where you live. Have a competition to see how many bags your group can collect and let's celebrate our efforts to Keep Sabine Clean! Get your friends and family together and join in efforts to clean up our towns, villages, and Parish.

The Town of Many is accepting applications for Garbage Collectors.  Employee must be able to collect from the back of a garbage truck. Must have GED/High school diploma, valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a drug screen and physical. Applications may be obtained at City Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.  An Equal Opportunity Employer.   Deadline is on 5/19/21.

The Town of Many is accepting applications for a Deputy Clerk.  Applicants must have accounting, and accounts receivable/payable experience.  Quickbooks experience is a plus but not required.  Must be able to pass a drug screen.  Applications may be obtained at City Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.  An Equal Opportunity Employer.   Deadline is on 5/26/21.

Our Christmas Parade will be Saturday, December 18th at 2:00 p.m.

The Town of Many is receiving applications for a part-time employee. This is a temporary position in our clerical department to help during our busy holiday and tax season. Applications may be obtained at City Hall from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  An Equal Opportunity Employer.

LCDBG Application Available for Review

The TOWN OF MANY, SABINE PARISH  announces that an application for the FY 2021/2022 Louisiana Community Development Block Grant (LCDBG) funds will be submitted for the following:

Activity:    LCDBG funds will be used to:

rehabilitate two (2) sets of restrooms at Fairgrounds Park in Many, LA.
Construct a new park with playground, picnic pavilion, restrooms, walking track, and parking lot that includes marked Handicapped spaces.

The Town of Many now has 4 certified animal control officers. On Monday, August 14th and Tuesday, August 15th they will be going around the city limits and educating the public.

The Town of Many is excited to announce the launch of TextMyGov services as another convenient way for residents, employees and visitors to communicate with the town. This smart texting solutions works with regular SMS texting so no app or download needed.  TextMyGov uses a mobile phone's regular messaging service as a simple way for the town interact with the public and for citizens to relay information to town staff. 

You can look up your request using the submission number from the portal and texted reports.

The Town of Many is accepting sealed bids on asphalt installed per ton on city streets for the period of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.   Contractor must pay for asphalt, labor and equipment to dig out and pack bottoms and seal with proper asphaltic oil; asphalt roller must be used to pack the top.

THE BOIL ADVISORY HAS BEEN LIFTED FOR THOSE IN MANY AFFECTED BY THE WATER MAIN BREAK.

The Town of Many is receiving applications for the position of Water Operator to assist in the operations of the water and sewer departments.  Water certification is necessary, but not required.   Salary based on certification and the Town will provide training for additional certification. Equipment Operator is a plus.  Retirement and insurance benefits available. Applications may be obtained at City Hall from 7:30-4:30 M-F.  An Equal Opportunity Employer.

Water Clerk position, and perform other tasks deemed necessary.  Applicants must have bookkeeping experience and knowledge of QuickBooks. This versatile position will assist in all phases of Town of Many operations and requires strong people skills for public interactions.
