Enforcing Garbage Ordinance

In an effort to make your hometown to look its best, the city is going to start enforcing our ordinance #1 of 2009. I am instructing the Chief to have her patrol officers who ride up and down the streets of Many to find any citizens in violation of the 12 year old garbage ordinance that says the following:

It shall be unlawful for any person to place any garbage in front of any residence in the town, without same being in a sturdy plastic ( not a plastic garbage bag) or metal indestructible container with a lid that dogs, cats or any other type of animal can get into, that can be picked up and dumped into the garbage wagon to be hauled away.
Each resident living within the town is hereby required to place all garbage to be disposed of in containers that are made of sturdy plastic ( not a plastic garbage bag ) or metal indestructible container with a lid that dogs, cats, or any other type of animal can get into, that can be picked up by the person hauling the garbage away, at the curb of the street in front of the residence from which the garbage is to be removed.

Fine Schedule:
The following will be the fine schedule for not being in compliance with the ordinance.
1st Violation-Written Notice
2nd Violation-Final Written Notice
3rd Violation-Fines set in Court
4th Violation-Fines set in Court

****55 gallon drums are not allowed as our crew is unable to lift 55 gallon drums full of trash and water****
****Loose trash will not be picked up; it needs to be bagged and placed inside trash container with a lid****
